Why specify a rail system for trade and hospitality projects

Hotels, restaurants and interior design projects share a problem that ordinary picture hooks don’t solve: artwork and signage need to change — between refurbishments, seasons, or guest rooms — without re-plastering a wall every time. A specified rail-based hanging system removes that constraint entirely, giving designers and facilities teams a fixture that’s installed once and reconfigured indefinitely afterwards.

Concealed systems for new-build and refurbishment

Where the brief calls for nothing visible on the wall or ceiling, our Shadowline and Deco Rail ranges are designed to be built into the structure during construction or renovation, disappearing into a shadow line at the ceiling edge.

Frameless panel mounting

For a contemporary, minimal look — large-format prints, Dibond, or acrylic panels mounted with no visible fixings — the Back Frame system mounts flush to the wall with a fully concealed subframe, popular in hotel lobbies, restaurants and retail fit-outs.

Statement lighting

The Combi Rail Pro Light integrates adjustable picture lighting directly into the hanging rail, letting a feature wall be lit and rehung as one system — a detail that suits hotel corridors, restaurants and boutique retail as much as it does a private collection.

Heavy-duty options for large art and mirrors

For oversized mirrors, statement artwork or high-traffic commercial areas, Classic Rail Plus (100kg/m) and Click Rail Pro (50kg/m) give the load capacity that lighter residential systems don’t.

Frequently asked questions

Can these systems be specified for a new-build or refurbishment project?

Yes. The Shadowline and Deco Rail ranges are designed to be installed into the ceiling or wall structure during construction, so they can be specified at design stage and built in before finishes go on.

What’s the difference between a rail system and the Back Frame system?

Rail systems use a fixed track with movable cords and hooks, ideal where artwork changes often. Back Frame mounts a single panel flush to the wall with no visible fixings, suited to large-format prints or signage that won’t be rehung frequently.

Do you offer trade or bulk pricing for multi-room projects?

Yes, get in touch or see our professional/B2B page to discuss pricing for larger specifications.

What load capacity do I need for a large mirror or statement piece?

Classic Rail Plus is rated to 100kg (220lbs) per metre and is our highest-capacity system, suitable for oversized mirrors and substantial artwork.
